OKAY NOW IF YOU HAVE GOT THE OLD MOTOR OUT AND THE NEW MOTOR READY TO PUT IN. THESE ARE
A FEW THINGS TO CHECK:
- WIRE HARNESS IS CONNECTED TO MOTOR
- EVERY THING IS TORQUED DOWN
- IF YOUR COMING IN FROM THE TOP WITH A CHERRY PICKER..ARE YOUR HOOK POINTS TIGHT AND YOUR STRAP IN
GOOD SHAPE. (THIS IS NO TIME TO DROP THE MOTOR)
- CHECK YOUR ENGINE BAY FOR LOOSE ENDS OR ANYTHING THAT COULD GET IN THE WAY
BEFORE YOU PUT THE MOTOR IN THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THE ENGINE BAY WILL NEED TO
FIT THE B SERIES MOTOR. THE INSIDE FENDER WELL ON THE DRIVE SIDE OF THE MOTOR. YOU ARE GOING TO NEED TO POUND A DENT
ABOUT 4" BY 5" WHERE THE ALT PULLEY GOES, IF YOU ARE USING THE STOCK ALT BELT. AS YOU PUT THE ENGINE IN, YOU WILL
SEE THERE IS NO ROOM FOR THE LONG BELT UNLESS YOU PUT THE DENT IN.( GO
TO THE AUTO PARTS STORE AND GET THE SAME BELT BUT 1 INCH SHORTER AND SAVE TIME ) ON THE BACK FIRE WALL WHERE THE REAR
TRANNY MOUNT BOLTS DOWN .YOU NEED TO CUT THE LIP OFF THE CROSS MEMBER OR BEND IT ALL THE WAY DOWN .( 2" EACH
SIDE OF BOLT HOLES ) THIS TO KEEP THE REAR TRANNY MOUNT BRACKET FROM MAKING VIBRATION NOISES .
NEXT YOU CAN PUT YOUR MOUNTS ON THE MOTOR.
ONLY PUT THE TRANNY MOUNT AND THE DRIVE SIDE MOUNT ON . THE REAR TRANNY
MOUNT NEEDS TO BE PUT IN THE BACK OF THE ENGINE BAY AND SNUGGED DOWN. YOU WILL NEED TO USE THE REAR TRANNY MOUNT BRACKET
OFF THE LS MOTOR. BOLT IT TO THE MOTOR BEFORE PUTTING IN. IFYOU GOT EVERTHING READ IT'S JUST A MATTER OF PUTTING IT IN. WE
USE A CHERRY PICKER THAT SLIDES INTO A TOE PACKAGE OF A TRUCK. NOTHING SPECIAL LIKE ON TV.
